Tadley Cemetery

Cemetery

Tadley Cemetery (postcode RG26 3AX) is located in open countryside opposite St Peter’s Church. It is laid out as a lawned cemetery in order that it can be appropriately maintained in its peaceful setting.

The Cemetery Layout

Burial plots in the cemetery are laid out in rows marked only by a headstone. This allows for ease and safety of maintenance and gives a tidy appearance.

Consecration

The cemetery is not consecrated. This allows its use by all religions; each plot being consecrated during the interment ceremony.

Tributes

The only tributes allowed in the cemetery are floral tributes which must be placed in the headstone or tablet receptacle. Due to the countryside location of the cemetery, animals are regular visitors. This means that at times flowers may be moved or eaten, particularly by deer and rabbits. The planting of trees, shrubs or flowers is not permitted on the graves.
